Sounds like “ShoeMake” spelled like “Shumake”

Detroit, MI – Dr. Robert Shumake is a businessman, author, motivator and much more. No matter how you spell it, Dr. Robert Shumake is well known for his community service efforts as he sponsors the Shumake Family Scholarship Relays event in Metro Detroit. Track teams from all over the nation are looking forward to the 5th annual scholarship relays event.

Robert Shumake is a former Detroit all-city track star and founder of the Showdown in Motown. Robert ran track in high school and college, which kept him off the streets and out of trouble. In a recent interview, Robert said, “Track and field helped me focus on being the best; now I am giving back to the community by helping other teens compete for scholarships.”

The Robert Shumake Relays have received nationwide recognition and local media coverage from NBC, CBS and ABC. Being the largest independently sponsored HS track meet in Michigan, they have received strong political and community support from leaders in Detroit and Pontiac.

The Robert Shumake Relays have awarded scholarships to over 5,000 young people since its inception. In addition, Robert Shumake is the author of the book, For Entrepreneurs who Considered Suicide when Business got Tough!
